Firmato e datato in basso a sinistra. Si vende in passepartout. Emil Ranzenhofer was a prolific artist from the late 1800s to the early 1900's in Vienna. In the family collection handed down through his only grandchild, John M. Kanner, there are many oil paintings, etchings, sketches, and water colors. Since he served as a war artist for the Kriegspressequartier in Austria, many of his posters, postcards, and sketches are scenes of WWI. Many of these sketches of war scenes have handwritten notations (in German script) describing the people and places depicted.
